Parking TW12
Most of the roads around TW12 are controlled parking, and either parking suspensions or dispensations are required. For larger Removals in TW12 a parking suspension is a necessity. The suspension has to be booked up to 14 working days in advance of the required date. These are booked with your local council online. A Little Bit About TW12
The TW postcode area has 20 postcode districts covering parts of south west London, north-west Surrey and a very small part of Berkshire. The postal district of TW12 covers Hampton, Hampton Hill and Fulwell. The local authority covering these areas is Richmond upon Thames.
Hampton is centred on an old village on the north bank of the River Thames, in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames in England. Historically it was in Middlesex. The population is about 18,000. The name Hampton may come from the Anglo-Saxon words hamm meaning an enclosure in the bend of a river and ton meaning farmstead or settlement.
The face of Hampton Hill changed significantly after the introduction of trams in 1903. Initially much of the line along the High Street was single track with passing loops. From 1904 until 1910 buildings were demolished, in order to accommodate double tracks, and were re-built further back on their sites. The new Fulwell tram terminus was built.
The Royal Mail no longer recognises Fulwell as a place name but it survives as part of some street names and in the names of Fulwell railway station, Fulwell Golf Course and Fulwell Garage, as well as Fulwell and Hampton Hill ward (though most of Fulwell is in the adjacent ward of West Twickenham).
