Parking in Fulham

Most of the roads around Fulham are controlled parking, and either parking suspensions or dispensations are required. For larger Removals in Fulham a parking suspension is a necessity. The suspension has to be booked 8 working days in advance of the required date. These are booked with Hammersmith and Fulham council online. For smaller Fulham removals, using vans, we can load and unload for short periods on single yellow lines. Otherwise a dispensation would need to be booked, if we are packing and Fulham flat moving.

A Little Bit About Fulham

Fulham Broadway is a famous street within Fulham although it is often used to name the area in the immediate vicinity of the street and the station. From 1880-1952, Fulham Broadway underground station was called Walham Green. The station itself is now set inside Fulham Broadway shopping centre. However the modern name of Walham Green is now known as the Moore Park Estate, regarded as one of the most desirable parts of Fulham to own a property.

Situated in post codes SW10 and SW6, Fulham has a great location close to Sloane Square and Knightsbridge, on the tube network, with traditional architecture and there is a relaxed feel here, especially around Parsons Green and Eel Brook Common. There are wide tree lined roads of Victorian and Edwardian architecture with almost no new builds except on the river. The most popular and expensive areas are the Moore Park Estate, the Peterborough Estate and roads close to Bishops Park along the river.

Famed for its wonderful pubs and open spaces, Fulham is hugely popular with young professionals and in 2012 it was voted as the UK’s most desirable area for this crowd. Affluent families are drawn here and because of the nearby Lycée, there is a thriving French community.
For primary education there is a good choice including All Saints Primary, Melcombe Primary, Orliac Mary (a French primary school) and Fulham Primary. Secondary education includes Lady Margaret, Henry Compton and Hurlingham and Chelsea school. For private education, parents choose between Fulham Prep School, Thomas’s School, Hurlingham and the London Oratory RC School where Tony Blair sent his children.
